Made it to Palmer Station

Wow, it has been an amazing journey, across the Drake, quick stop off at Cape Sheriffe to restock a remote field camp operated by NOAA, through the Gerlach Straits and into Palmer Station. On sunday, my partner and colleague Josh Kohut and I deployed a mooring about 5 miles from the station in 300 feet of water. Today we set up the very first high-frequency radar station to measure ocean currents. I would write more but I'm kind of exhausted. Going to let the photos do the talking for now...
Cheers everyone!

Our mooring equipment all laid out and ready to go.

The ship left us today and had to break a channel out through the ice.
